چین کے وزیر دفاع وی فینگ نے اپنے امریکی ہم منصب لائیڈ آسٹن سے سنگاپور میں ایک ایشیائی سیکورٹی سربراہی اجلاس میں ملاقات کی۔ وی فینگ نے آسٹن کو بتایا کہ تائیوان کو چین سے الگ کرنے سے بیجنگ کے پاس سوائے جنگ کے اور کوئی چارہ نہیں ہوگا۔
وی فینگ کا کہنا تھا کہ اگر کوئی تائیوان کو چین سے الگ کرنے کی جرت کرتا ہے، تو چینی پیپلز لبریشن آرمی (PLA) ہر قیمت پر لڑنے اور ‘تائیوان کی آزادی’ کی کسی بھی کوشش کو کچلنے اور قومی خودمختاری اور علاقائی سالمیت کے تحفظ کیلئے تیار ہے۔<\/p>\n
